- Rural- Local Self Government:
- Local government entities, such as the Panchayati Raj System, have a distinct structure.

- The key features of the chapter include – the definition of the term Metropolitan, major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, Municipal Corporations, two functions of services such as water supply, public health sanitation, education, lighting, security, and public works and maternity and child welfare
